What is Homeopathy
Homeopathy is an alternative medicine system founded by Samuel Hahnemann, based on the law of nature that the similar heals the similar (similia similibus curentur). That is, the same substance that can cause certain symptoms in a healthy organism, can heal the same symptoms in a sick organism.
It is used in all world for more than 200 years and it is recognized by World Health Organization as the second biggest therapeutic system in the world.
The correct use of Homeopathy stimulates the defence mechanism and increases the capacity of the organism to heal himself. During the treatment it is expectable that the organism stays stronger and that it is able to recover itself, without the need of any remedy, for instance in acute diseases.
In chronic situations of disease, the stimulus that is given by the homeopathic remedy to the organism makes that there is extra energy for the healing process to take place with maximum efficiency.
Some important concepts of Homeopathy
Remedies proving
The homeopathic remedies were tested in healthy people, being registered every single change that occurred in the mental, emotional and physical plane. This careful and detailed work was named “Remedies proving”.
Organon or the Art of Healing
Book written by Samuel Hahnemann in 1810, where he described in detail the Theory of Homeopathy and its laws. Namely:
1 – The healing process occurs according to certain laws that exist in nature.
2 – No one can heal outside those laws.
3 -Diseases do not exist by themselves. What exist are people that are sick.
4 – A disease is always dynamic by nature and because of that the remedy also must be dynamic to be able to cure it.
5 – The patient needs only 1 specific remedy and no other remedy in a specific phase of the disease. If that remedy is not found, in the best option, there is only palliation – a temporary relief.
Vital Force
It is the vital force that gives life, without it the organism will die. It manages our organism and when unbalanced, shows symptoms that we call disease. Our vital force is influenced by stress, climate changes, traveling, changes in food, grief, excessive tiredness, and other things. Our capacity to adapt, our flexibility and resilience in relation to that circumstances depends on the Vital Force.
Minimum dose
The minimum dose must be given to the sick – no more or less – in order that the organism has sufficient energy to recover itself. This minimum dose activates the Vital Force. The process of self-recovering initiates inside the organism and it is not imposed by nothing external.
